Shooting

I had a great time today shooting my new gun. Actually, everyone did - we all like it!

I pulled some clays for Mason. He is good with the shotgun!

New Gun!!!

I got a new gun today! It's a Browning Buckmark Camper Micro (or a 22 pistol). It's the same caliber as my 22 rifle just in a handgun. We are going to go to the range tomorrow to shoot it. I'll post some pics of that tomorrow.
For those of you who don't know, we name our handguns. Yeah, we're that crazy. Dad's guns are name Ashley and Carrie and mine is name Lizzy. Kinda strange, I know.

Trip to the see the Cobbs

Last week we went to our friends the Cobbs' lake house. They were so hospitable and we felt so welcome. It was so great to see them again!

We spent a lot of time tubing...

Riding chariot style....

I really liked knee boarding...

We jumped off the cliffs again this year. The highest cliff is 25 feet.

Fort Worth Trip

We have been having a lot of fun in Fort Worth! Today we went swimming and played with water outside.
And now, I will tell you the story of Herb. Herbert Samantha Jones was born today at 2:31. He was about 2 1/2 inches long and probably weighed about an ounce. Herb was loved by all, and he was taken to the trampoline to be played with. During an accident involving too much jumping, Herb was thrown from the trampoline and supposed to be dead. I immediately went to find the remains of Herb. Everyone was very sad, and the loud cries of lament could be heard for miles.... well probably just those in the backyard. Then a shout from under the trampoline: "Herb is alive!" There was much rejoicing as Herb was brought back onto the trampoline where he was again played with. Then, tragedy struck. It involved a certain brother of mine purposely playing roughly with Herb. Herb was dead, and this time, there was no hope of his returning. All those who had known Herb were crushed by this incident. We buried Herb by the trampoline and contemplated the short life that he had lived. Herb was a water balloon.

Read this before going to the previous post

For some reason, the post I just did wouldn't show the words, so I'll just put them here.

This Saturday, Mom and Dad woke Mason and I up at 6:40 and told us to get dressed and come downstairs. I was really confused because I was supposed to have a soccer game and my end of the year party that day. We got in the car and got donuts, but they wouldn't tell us where we weer going. Mason and I were trying to figure it out, and we realized that we were going to the airport. When we got to the airiport, Mom showed us the ticket. It said Orange County on it. That wasn't much help because we didn't know where Orange County is. We sorta guessed that it is in either California or Tennessee, but we didn't know. (While we were watching TV at the hotel, we saw a story about a house in Orange County, Florida.) While we were waiting at the gate, Mom let Mason text Jonathan to ask him if he knew where Orange County is. The Parks had just been there, so Jonathan knew that it is in Southern California near Anaheim. From there, we figured out that we were going to Disney Land and that Grandpa would be there. (He had a conference in Anaheim.) Unfortunately, Dad had to stay here.

The lobby of our hotel

After we landed we got settled into the hotel and walked to Downtown Disney. (The hotel we stayed in was the same one that the Parks and the Onsteads had stayed in when they went to Disneyland.)

On the second day, we did California Adventure. Justin and Jonathan had talked about a ride called California Screamin', so I had to do that one so I could tell Justin I did. I wasn't too thrilled about it at first. The ride goes from 0 to 58 mph in 4 seconds and has a loop. While you are sitting in the car waiting to get shot up the hill, the guy says "Head back, face forward, and hang on! Launch in 5,4,3,2,1!" That's when you know it's going to be and interesting ride! After I did it though, I loved it. Mason and I went on it 7 times while we were there. That's my favorite ride in either Disney or California Adventure.

California Screamin'

When we went to Disneyland 4 years ago, Mason and I were terrified of the Indiana Jones ride and closed our eyes during the whole thing. We got a chance at redemption, and we actually liked it!

On the third day, we did Disney Land. My favorite rides there were probably Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Matterhorn Bobsled, and Space Mountain.

On the fourth day, we finished doing Disney (we hadn't done all of it the day before) and did our favorites from the day before.
We had a ton of fun on the trip! Thank to Grandpa and Mom and Dad for making it so much fun!
